Transitioning from other CAT Software: Switch with Confidence is a standalone migration experience for reporters moving from another CAT environment into EclipseVox with Speechmatics. Under the Realtime Voice Writing Theory identity, it presents the change as a guided professional launch rather than a difficult software switch: participants map familiar practices into EclipseVox, establish a vocabulary strategy, configure the new system, and practice a start-to-finish simulated job with coaching from both instructors. The result is a clearer migration plan, a tested workflow, and the confidence to continue building accuracy after class.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the major workflow differences between the participant's current CAT software and EclipseVox
- Configure the EclipseVox and Speechmatics foundation using the supplied setup files and a deliberate verification sequence.
- Sort vocabulary and dictionary decisions into the appropriate EclipseVox and VOCAB workflows.
- Prepare core job and output settings, then apply them during a guided simulated job.
- Troubleshoot common translation, conflict, command, formatting, and workflow issues using a repeatable process.
- Create a personal migration checklist and a continued-practice plan for the first 30 days after training.
